ABOUT ME

"Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing that we’ll ever do.”

I celebrate my first and second language through storytelling. I’m of Salvadoran and Honduran descent, fluent in English and Spanish, and have loved writing since childhood. I began my career in journalism, reporting for newspapers in Arizona. As an undergraduate student at Arizona State University, I was honored as one of 24 students nationwide selected as a New York Times Fellow, where I also served as copy editor and collaborated with editors from The New York Times and The Boston Globe.

While earning my MBA in Marketing, I also worked on global internal communications projects for Johnson & Johnson, collaborating with teams in the U.S. and India. Since then, I’ve built a multi-faceted communications career across journalism, nonprofit communications, and corporate storytelling.

My work has included modernizing organizational messaging, developing donor appeals and newsletters, managing multi-channel campaigns, mentoring staff on brand voice, and supporting leadership with communications strategy and decision-making. I’ve directed national content initiatives in mental health as Senior Manager of Communications at Active Minds, led internal communications during periods of organizational change at Vibrant Emotional Health, and managed donor storytelling and fundraising campaigns for bilingual audiences at Hope Media Group.

Alongside communications work, I’ve advocated for individuals experiencing homelessness, domestic violence, and sexual assault — experiences that deeply inform how I approach storytelling today. I understand the responsibility that comes with telling people’s stories with dignity, care, and context.

Outside of my professional work, I’m a mom, a writer, and a human navigating real life. I share that side of myself on my blog, Mommy Finger, Baby Finger, where I write honestly about motherhood, identity, healing, and the everyday moments that shape us.
